Christmases at grandad’s were the best. He would always have a chocolate santa waiting for all of us for when we arrived or some classic vegetable soup only he could  make ready right on time. Although his little Christmas tree always seemed to be on its very last legs, grandad always cooked up the best Christmas dinner even with about 12 people around the table plus the birds to feed in his garden.

There where so many good hiding spots for hide and seek in his house especially hiding behind the chair he was sitting in. We would play it every year just before going to bed and trying not to make too much noise in case grandad came and told us off which did always make us laugh.

We will miss you so so much.
