I worked with Helen initially when we were both outreach workers.  She was kind and clear, always knew her role and strived for excelence. Helen was passionate about working with families and having their needs at the heart of the work, but she also had vision about what could be improved and how it could be done. 

As Parenting Lead, she stepped into the new role and developed and embeded the Parenting Support Service in Lambeth. She created systems that streamlined and clarified.  Her enthusiasem for planning, organising and a colourcoded spread sheet is legendary. She was incredibly organised, but more this she was valued and respected by everyone she worked with. 

 She was always gracious, generous played to peoples strengths and wasn’t afraid of a challenge. She was always ready to talk things through when I contacted her. She was supportive, encouraging and ready to share ideas  or good things she had been hearing.

I imagine that every service that she was ever involved in is better for having had her part of it. She touched and inspired so many lives and will be deeply missed. That is her legacy, that she made a difference and changed things for the better in a very real way.
