I would like to share some of my memories, both recent and old, of the best Na Kung that anyone could ask for.

My earliest memories of Na Kung come in quick flashes – for example him running after our erratic tennis shots (in his 80s) while my brother and I were under 10 years old. Him mischievously sharing his cigar or whisky glass with us when we were significantly underage for these activities. His infectious laugh, especially when he beat our family at Cho Dai Di (which was basically every time).

And most recently, after a trip back to Hong Kong in 2021, hearing all about his candid adventures in school, Brazil and the US, whilst we ate duck rice in his office. Or us poured over a 500-piece puzzle that we had been working on over some weeks, and him proudly finding that missing piece after what had felt like hours of no progress.

All these memories show me the characteristics of a person I will always aspire towards: genuine, caring, playful, adventurous, thoughtful and always there with a smile and positive outlook on life. Raising a glass of whisky to you Na Kung!

Love,

Josh
