Rod was just a fantastic person to be around – warm, witty, welcoming and got stuck into everything. From the moment I first met him, he always welcomed John’s moronic friends with charm, humour and patience. I remember playing golf with him and how much he enjoyed the chat – being “old in hair, young in spirit” – and giving that Rod chuckle. 

He leaves a loving family and a fund of excellent memories.
