Michael was a wonderful friend and colleague.

We both joined BUPA in 2000 and I quickly found we shared many attitudes and opinions about clinical practice – not least the pleasure in at last having more time with our individual patients.

Over many years I valued his kind presence and wise counsel. I knew that if his door was closed when I arrived for work at Battle Bridge House, he would be undertaking a short meditation to prepare for his day. If it was open, he would always be welcoming, sharing his love for his life and his many interests. 

I attach a photo of Michael before one of the BUPA Christmas parties we attended together. I will always remember those nights with great affection.
