I think you will enjoy this picture of your father at Henley taking full advantage of the fact that he was not under the watchful eye of your mother!

Your comment about Dr Chinn’s advice on diet reminds me that your father would often say at the bar that he had been recommended to drink tonic water because it contained quinine – however he felt that he could not drink the water on its own so naturally he had to have a gin in with it. Dr Chinn’s advice was turned into a recommendation to drink gin and tonic regularly!
