First met an enthusiastic Eric when I turned up at the previous BATTS club some 22 years ago. Before long he had me playing for BATTS and the Harlow Table Tennis League and taking me on as League Secretary. Up until recently he had worked on the League Committee for fifty years, as Chairman for nearly the last forty of them, and also as President the last fifteen. A large and sad loss to the League.
