God is truly amazing! To have thrown us all together at such a critical time in our lives! Shabaka & Angela were the young parents of King Oba and Courtney & myself were the young parents of Jamaaladeen and also of Lady Pine and Fearless Taiyo and the shy and retiring Isis who formed part of the Yaa Next Generation that Shabaka inspired. We separated physically but never in spirit because of our shared goals of inspiring our youngsters to be strong, happy confident and conscious Afrikans. 

I am still in shock to be truthful and a bit irritated that Shabaka should have transitioned so suddenly. However our sincere condolences are extended to all of his loved ones who must be hurting so much right now. 

As can be seen in our photograph we moved to St Kitts-Nevis between 2016 and 2019 and would have loved to welcome you all here to catch up on old times. 

My girls have many happy memories of growing up in the Yaa family and join me in extending our best wishes for a period of grieving that is not too long and not too painful.
