Sarah Elizabeth Curr

I first met Sarah the summer I started working at KCL. I was feeling very lost and wondering what I was doing in academia. Sarah offered to walk me over to the CSC at Guys campus for my induction as she said she had to go over there too. As we walked she told me about her own experiences of coming into the academic role and gave me a few words of encouragement. It was a small gesture which made an impact. I will always remember her as someone who was kind and not afraid to speak up on behalf of others.
She will be greatly missed by her colleagues. May she rest in perfect peace. Jennifer Kalitsi
Sarah was a breath of fresh air and full of fun. We met on my first week at King’s and we invigilated an exam together. I’m so sorry to hear the sad news of her passing.
My sincere condolences to Sarah’s family and friends.

Sarah was my mad vegan friend and a great colleague. We learnt our craft of lecturing togther creatively, and enjoyed so many grand adventures on our way. So much work done in so many ways with students and colleagues all over the world. You leave an amazing legacy Sarah. You will be so missed.

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work alongside and I truly owe a lot of how I am in my role today to her. I cannot express how much gratitude I have for the guidance and support she provided to myself and I’m sure to so many others. Having been in contact with Sarah at least every week (if not daily!) for the past few years, her absence is abundantly felt. With my deepest condolences to Sarah’s family and friends.
