Theresa O'Donnell

Theresa, I don’t even know where to begin. I have so many happy memories of time spent with you over the years that we have worked together.  From talks of travel, clothes, decorating…how you tried to explain to me how to hang wallpaper, and the yearly discussions of our hunt for the Christmas party dress… to the Grooming of our dogs,  you with Max and me with Ruby. That Christmas party where we both turned up in the exact same coat, the hours on the dance floor together. Our regular chats throughout lockdown always made me laugh… we used to wonder if we would ever cope wearing heels again when it was all over. The support you gave me when I was wondering whether to apply for my new job on one of the teams at platform… I will never forget that you were the first person I spoke to after my interview… you came rushing over to me to ask how it went, you genuinely always cared so much about everyone. I think my fondest memory of you was when we came to the charity event that you organised at the Irish centre and we saw you dancing with your dad. The whole room just stopped and gathered around to watch you. You were absolutely brilliant and no doubt you had done that together so many times over the years but that was the first time that I had witnessed it for myself. Your “Theresa ism’s”….”dude…”, “basically…”, “frickin…”

Theresa, I am so proud to have been able to call you not just a colleague, but a true friend. You were the most positive, warm and caring person and a beautiful soul inside and out. It was a joy to see you every day in the office. I will never forget you. Rest in peace xxx
