I had the pleasure of working with Rach in preparation for Lisbon 2018. Given we weren’t even in the same office or time zone and I had never helped to organize such a big event before, I was feeling a bit daunted. But Rach immediately put me at ease and gave me a profound sense of confidence that everything was going to work out. And of course it did, but not without Rach’s amazing capacity to get things done and keep all the plates spinning. I’m grateful I had that opportunity to work with her, and I can only imagine how much joy and energy she brought to the colleagues who worked with her each day. My thoughts and prayers are with Rachel and her family. I hope you cherish all of the memories of a life lived abundantly and remembered by the many souls she touched.
