I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear that my dear friend John George Hunter passed away at the young age of 54. Our friendship goes back to 1978 at school where our mutual love of sports and rock n roll quickly emerged. John was a real character, funny, engaging and always loyal to his friends and really loved by everyone fortunate enough to know him, he was a one off and had wonderful parents. He was a fine goal keeper and outstanding prop forward at rugby as well as gifted guitarist. I will miss him very much.
