Pat Baillie

I started working with Pat in 2010 when Marsh acquired HSBC & I became part of the BSU team as “one of her girls”. One of the first things she asked me was “I believe you know how to do Premium Credit” & when I said yes her reply was “good I can pass that on I hate doing it”!  She had a reputation of being scary but once you got to know her you realised her bark was worse than her bite and she had a sense of humour.  She didn’t mind having a chat as long as the work got done.  She respected people who did a good job or had at least tried their best.  She enjoyed her job & knew her role inside out & has left a big hole in the Manchester office.  She was a good friend to me checking I was okay when I was dealing with family illness & also when my mum died.  We spoke on the phone nearly every working day since working from home & I am really going to miss her both professionally & personally.  She was my work mum.  I would like to think she is up there now bringing John Penwill up to date on all the gossip.

My deepest condolences to all her family.

RIP Pat.
