I only worked with Liz for a short time but when I joined Old Palace as Head in September 2019 she was very welcoming to me and I very much appreciated that. During that year (2019/20) she taught maths to Year 6 and during this time she launched the Sumdog competition which the girls absolutely loved. That year the Old Palace team beat all the local competition and there was so much excitement from Liz and the students- it was lovely to witness! It was clear that Liz had developed a really positive bond with these students and from what other colleagues have said this was a common theme during her time at the school. Liz’s passing has been a shock for the whole school community and our thoughts are with her family. Liz, may you rest in peace.
