I feel honoured and privileged to have known Maria both as a colleague and good friend since we first met in 1995. Her lifelong dedication to supporting, empowering and improving the lives of children and families in her care was truly inspirational. Maria was a beautiful person her kindness knew no bounds and she genuinely cared for and nurtured everyone she met. Maria will always hold a very special place in my heart and memories.
