KENNETH DESMOND BENEDICT NEWMAN-SMART
Uncle Ken, as I called him, passed away on the eve of my beloved’s funeral. He had helped me proof-read my tribute to my beloved. He said it was not good enough and that I should make it juicy. This showed the type of person he was. Ken passed away a few hours after my beloved’s hymn sheets were put together. He had a unique relationship with his beloved wife. One of its kind. He was always happy-go-lucky, cheerful, helpful and an excellent father to his son and his nephew. He was a brilliant teacher who had the interest of his students at heart. Ken, you will be greatly missed by your wife, your son, your sisters-in-law, your sibling, your family and friends. I will never forget you. Safe in the arms of Jesus. Ivy Johnson.
