Dear Jane, Tom and Mary,

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Brian.  He was the most wonderful person with such a big heart. My earliest memory of him was the day I went for interview at Sibford and during his lunchtime he was outside his classroom with some boys and they had a little putting green set up on the grass. Having come from Manchester where I did my teacher training this was so far removed from any previous school I had been in! 

Throughout my time at Sibford Brian was always so supportive of me and I always thought of him as my ‘work dad’. If you ever needed advice or a shoulder to cry on Brian would pick you up and give you sound advice and a good hug before sending you on your way.  He was the most fabulous colleague whom I will always treasure. I’m so grateful and blessed that he has been part of my life. May his light shine down on you all. Much love to you all, thought and prayers are with you. Iona and kids xx
