Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth was affectionately known as the Boss to all then current and ex-servicemen. I was proud to have sworn allegiance to her and to serve 9 years in the RAF. I also had the privelege of being on a VIP welcoming party when she landed at my base at RAF Finningley and although we didn’t speak she gave me the loveliest of smiles when I assisted her from the aircraft steps and in to her car. A wonderful Queen, a marvellous woman and a legendary Boss , she will be remembered and treasured for generations — I salute you Ma’am.    J8078971 SAC Green I R
