I had the immense good fortune to work alongside Pat at QEGS, and also to call her and Harry friends. She was a technician’s dream, organised, with detailed, legible request sheets on time and she kept her classroom tidy. She always wanted the best for her pupils, and strived to ensure no one was left behind. She did say teaching boys was so different to teaching girls, still enjoyable but different, however in true Whiteman fashion she embraced the challenge and made a success of it. 

She will be missed by many, that smile and cheeky wink could light up a room.
