It’s taken a long time for me to write this, and I still can’t find the words to say what you meant to me.

It has been a pleasure working alongside you, learning from you and making a difference to the people of Wigan.

You’ve not only developed me in a professional capacity but developed me as a person and have been there for me whenever I have needed support. You’ve helped me gain the skills to tackle anything in life and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

I’ll continue to look out for your family as you would have done for me and ensure your legacy lives on for years to come.

You became a lot more than a boss to me, you became a work dad, mentor and most importantly a good friend.

I miss you Tom and will always miss you.
