Don Butler

I have known Don since playing colts rugby (from 1979 to 1982) which was the most amazing and fun time at Clifton Park.  Don was always a central figure with regards to the social side of York Rugby Union.  During thursday night training, Tony Brown, Carl Neary, Wally Bellman and Dave Bottomley would tell so many stories of playing rugby with the Unicorns.

For me, Don was the architect of social rugby at York with his stories, songs and houmour.

RIP Don!

ps please hello say to Tony Williams, Pete Holgate, Tony Brown, Andy Walker, Slimline, John Aryes and Carl Nearly.
