Folashade Aduke Telewa
To my dear Aunty – Mrs. Folashade Aduke Telewa
Aunty mi, it is painful to write about your demise a few weeks after I visited to spend some days with you in London, and hoping to return again. During that visit, you opened up to me and shared your feelings; and we both concluded to leave matters in Jehovah’s hands. You showed courage, strength, and your hope and faith in Jehovah was unwavering up till the end.
You played significant role in my life since my childhood. I remember how happy I was to be the little bride/flower girl on your wedding day. You were always there for me every time and during all my milestones – baptism, graduation, marriage, etc.
You were beautiful in and out, and a role model in all ways. I learned a lot of practical and life skills from you. You were an outstanding homemaker with good culinary skills; you loved and cared for your husband and children; classy in your grooming, and elegant in the way you carried yourself. Your love of people made everyone who knew you to be drawn to you.
Above all, you were an exemplary Christian. You lived your faith as a devoted Jehovah’s Witness. Any advice and counsel you gave or decisions you made reflected God’s word, the Bible. You impacted so many people’s lives, including your late Uncle’s – Brother Akanbi Ayeko’s family.
I look forward to seeing you soon, my beautiful Aunty, Sister, and mother – John 5:28.
