Anne Hough

Having worked in EEE myself for some years, I interacted with Anne quite frequently.

She always had time for a chat despite having a busy workload and a steady stream of visitors! She always had a smile on her face.

Anne was a firm member of the “coffee mornings” gang which is still an event in the department. She believed it was important in being able to chat with colleagues both work and non-work related.

She also encouraged a few of us to a regular Pilates class which broke up the work day and again, built colleague relations.

I had no idea that Anne was unwell, so when I heard the news I was deeply shocked and saddened. She should have enjoyed a longer retirement. As many have already conveyed, Anne was a character who will be warmly remembered by all that knew and worked with her.

Although it will be of no consolation in the loss of her to her family and friends, hopefully the words left by those here will bring some comfort at this sad time. Anne had her faith, and may she now be at peace.

My deepest condolences.
