On behalf of the Embassy of Chile and myself, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Cote d’Ivoire for the loss of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Mr. Hamed Bakayoko.

Mr. Bakayoko will be remembered as a man who pursued peace and dialogue throughout his political career making important contributions to democracy in Cote d’Ivoire.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Mr. Bakayoko’s family and friends.
