Chris Figgis (2004-2022)

I first met Chris on my taster day in Year 7, and with his signiture smile on his face, I remember this young lad energetically running around the rugby pitch. Although I had never met him before, in the back of my mind I felt like we had crossed paths before. Chris made time for everyone, no matter who they were or where they were from. He was a warm soul who gave so much to the community and never asked for much in return. Extremely intelligent and smart, Chris was one of those people that did not have to try hard in order to gain a top grade in class. I fondly remember the laughs and banter shared in our Geography lessons, as well as our Student Executive meetings – which Chris made all the more bearable at times. His humbleness and unpretentiousness are qualities that shone out from his heart and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May your star twinkle in the sky, just like your eyes.

Rest in peace, Figgy.
