Colin W. Stewart

My thoughts are with you all at this time and I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. Colin (or “Coco”) was simply one of life’s good guys, and he was always on hand for a chat or a steer in the right direction but always with a smile and a laugh.

Colin was exceptionally professional at the day job but had a cheeky glint in his eye, and often a quick retort that usually had me and many of the other partners/colleagues in stitches when we should clearly be paying more attention in many a meeting.

I have very fond memories of having few drinks with Colin the night before we competed in the Great Glen Challenge, and I was in awe that he had such enthusiasm to paddle up the loch despite never been in a Kayak before.

We shared interests in cycling and rugby but he was always very modest about his achievements in either sport, although he did take great delight, when I was trying to get him to take part in the Tour O Borders, but then realized he was at the event, and had effortlessly beat me by more than an hour and half.

Colin you will be greatly missed!

With best wishes,

Duncan Barrie
