John George Hunter

I first met John when he was 16.  His parents had just bought the house next door and John was furious because the house wasn’t in Hampstead.  In protest he locked himself inside his Dad’s Rolls Royce and refused to leave.  From this first, somewhat surprising, meeting, John became a good friend and neighbour. Over the many years that we have been friends, I always enjoyed John’s company, his wicked sense of humour and sense of drama.  I saw John at some very difficult times as well as times of great joy.   He faced it all head-on.   It’s difficult to believe that someone with so much charisma and presence is no longer with us.

There is now another star in the sky.  Shine bright John x
