How absolutely tragic to be typing this.  After ‘our’ Gareth moved to his new role in the union no one could have expected the such sad news.  He was a humble, dedicated unionist – full of knowledge and passion.  He would help anybody, and spend as much time with you as was needed – never a rush.  He was simply a lovely, friendly and charming man.  People like Gareth are rare.  He will be incredibly missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him.  My heart goes out to his family, but I hope when they see all these fabulous comments from everyone, that it is some comfort to them.
