Sue, Ralph & Everyone, 

Oh dear, what can I say about something that should never happen. I received a late delivery Christmas card and letter in the middle of January and Sarah sounded so happy. As overworked as ever, but full of beans and looking forward to her holiday in Portugal with Adam. 

She has packed so much into her life, more than too many of us do in a long lifetime. She has touched so many hearts in so many countries, she will never be forgotten. 

My happy memory is of the time we giggled our way round the clothes shops on the waterfront during the holiday I had with you at Gosport. That is the Sarah I shall keep in my heart. 

Take care, I’m here for you when you need a shoulder to cry on.
