Anna Komarova

Thank you, Anna, for your tireless service to the Deaf community, to WASLI and the Transcaucasia region, and to the the many interpreters whose lives you touched through your exceptional teaching. Your scholarship, leadership, and commitment to always leaving our world a better place made you a cherished friend. I first met Anna through WFD conferences, and then WASLI, and we served together beginning on the first WASLI board. It was such a pleasure to always be with you, in Moscow and the many other places where our paths would take us – I will miss your intelligence, humanity, good humour, ability to teach in every conversation, and your constant energy. There are just so many memories as I pour through our recent texts and look back on the photos – I suspect you and Tania are having some good laughs now reunited again! Thank you for the gift of your friendship and the many ways you enriched my life.  I will miss you and always remember you in my heart. These is just one photo her showing me the around the university – speaking to her committment to constant learning!  Rest well my friend! My deepest condolences to her family and many friends around the world who are grieving this huge loss.
