Like all on these pages, Nick, I shall miss you enormously. Mere words cannot do justice to your unique combination of qualities and talents but, to name only a few, I will always remember your warmth and affability, your consideration for others and dependability, the knowledge and authority you so patently possessed (but with no hint of ego) and that wonderful enthusiasm and manifest sense of humour. You have been without question one of the absolute mainstays of our market and I can’t think of a better ambassador, held in the highest esteem and affection by those fortunate enough to have met you. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have known you: rest in peace.
