Very sad to hear of the loss of David. We cycled many miles with him as part of the Hartford CATS cycling group, including a visit to my mums house in Bolton on the Tour of Lancashire, and when he cycled part of the Cheshire route to our pitstop in Middlewich on our LEJOG adventure in 2019. Amongst other things I had fond memories of our football chats together. I will miss him cursing me as I went speeding past him on my manual bike on the flat……only to be overtaken by him on the hills, smiling as he went effortlessly by on his electric bike !
