Kev Reynolds

In the late 1960s I spent time with Kev’s knees. These were attached to the rest of his slim body, but it was his knees I most remember when we first met. A weeks Winter Skills course at Plas y Brenin.  Especially the overnights in a tent on the Carneddau in deep snow. One can learn alot about a chap very quickly when so close to his knees.

And what I, and later my wife Sheila got to learn about the owner of such knees was that they belonged to a grand bod who loved the simple pleasures in life. And wanted to share his love of the ‘free’ outdoors with anyone who would listen. Kev & Min shared with us (Dave & Sheila) their joys of ‘damned hard work’ wardening Youth Hostels back when they were ‘for people of limited means’ on foot. Though we met very infrequently, we kept intouch  with each other these 50+ years and enjoyed the happiness of growing families.

We learnt of our dear friends passing whilst visiting our 3 week old latest grandchild. Every time we get to see Jacob we will remember Kev. Peace & Love dear friend. And to Min & the girls. From Sheila & Dave Teare
