James McVeigh
James “daddy” Mcveigh.
A hero to me. Getting me back involved with GAA at the age of 16, giving me a chance to play county football. The hours of work he put in off the field to make sure we had everything we needed for the club. Off the pitch Mcveigh would often give me advice with work and anything that he could help me with, Mcveigh really was one of a kind.
My favourite memories with Mcveigh are our trips to London / Ireland to play GAA which usually involved KFC, double deckers and a lot of laughs.
More recently when I’d come over to Randalstown to see family Mcveigh would still come out of his way and deliver me some double deckers. We’d have a catch up but Mcveigh wouldn’t want to stay too long as he’d be missing his cartoons or strictly.
You’ll be sadly missed by a lot. Rest easy big man
