James McVeigh

James has made such an impact on the lives of so many people connected to our Club, the wider GAA community and through Education. We wanted to pass on our sincere condolences to Louise, Jim and family on the loss of such a wonderful spirit. He was a man who rarely said no and hence has been involved in so many aspects of club life.  For ourselves we remember him coaching Niall at fundamental level, coaching us coaches with the latest ideas from Ulster Council, bouncing about as Gorm, our new club mascot at juvenile discos, sports day and through out the festival, not to mention entertaining us as Elsa during lipsync and the great Strictly dances! He always had a smile on his face and wanted the best for our Club. It was a privilege to have known him. Thank you so much James for your energy, enthusiasm and passion. It is hard to understand why the good ones are taken so early.

Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard but always near,

Still loved, still missed and very dear.
