Since mum’s death I’ve been thinking more and more about what she gave to me and my brothers. The stability that she provided, even during the most difficult of times when my father had his stroke and then died. The love and joy that filled the house and created constant laughter and fun. The love, support and interest she showed for the wider family and for friends. The example she set us by her actions, strength and modesty. There is so much of mum that I see in all of us. In that way, she lives on.
