Eilís was a huge inspiration to me both personally and professionally. She was, not only a hugely respected and influential academic, but a lady of such warmth, grace and integrity. She was incredibly generous with her time and support. No matter where or when I met Eilís she would put her arm around me and ask me how my son was before we ever discussed our work, this always meant so much to me. I offer my most sincere condolescences to Kadar, Roisin, Yasmin and Ciaran. It was a priviledge to know Eilís and her impact on us all will remain ever present.
