Derek was one of a kind, a gent and a friend. We spent hundreds of hours together in the same office sharing knowledge, and tales of previous jobs and travels. We were kindred spirits, both originally from the ‘west coast’ – I think over the years we talked about every place and topic possible. 😊This past year we had so many video call catchups, and I still cannot believe that I’ll not be able to see or speak with him again. Derek loved helping people, sometimes with a flourish or a laugh, but always getting the job done, he will be sadly missed by so many. Be at peace now Derek, I will remember you fondly always. C.
