I have known Dave for 58 years! We were off Hessle Road, along with Ray Sach, Jimmy Hicks and Bruce Armstrong, and lots more rugby lads.

We all went drinking around Town, we would also go dancing to Lacarno, Beverley, Withernsea. Most times we would get in for free, as most men on the doors played rugby with us!

We also had plenty of holidays together. Butlins, Scotland and lots more.

I met a girl at Lacarno called Liz. After a couple of weeks, Dave said “Has she got a friend?” So I asked Liz and she said yes, Nina. The rest is history, with three lovely daughters.
