” Raj was always very kind and welcoming to new staff and I got to know him during my first few years at the university.  He led the power systems group and his experience and knowledge of the university was very extensive.  Raj was a lovely colleague with time for everyone and a gentle sense of fun that made the day better.  He was very well liked and respected both inside the university and amongst his colleagues outside.  I send my condolences to Raj’s family.”
