I feel privileged to have called Rosalie a friend. We met in 2003 when I took over T.Savva, shoemakers on Chiltern Street. Rosalie was a client and Tony Savva introduced us. Between then and now I have been a regular visitor to Rosalie at Clarence Terrace, initially fitting shoes but over time building a strong bond of mutual love and friendship. We spent many evenings together watching films and laughing and of course sharing a glass of wine. She would so often offer me a final glass before leaving with the inevitable words “just in case”….
I will remember Rosalie for the rest of my life as an influence, someone who opened my mind to alternative ways of thinking or feeling, and for the warmth of her welcome.
Rest in peace darling Rosalie
