This is simply shocking, Andrew was so positive and optimistic when he spoke of his illness, neither he nor Marina showed any signs of self-pity but rather looked forward with stoicism and courage. The sight of Andrew’s truck in his driveway is heart-breaking, he was a real presence in Grange Drive, he worked so hard early starts and long journeys, including through the worst of the Covid pandemic. On sunny evenings in last year’s warm but strange days a group of his neighbours may be sitting outside together when he would return from a long stint keeping the country going and we would spontaneously applaud him, I’m glad we had the opportunity to do that. My heartfelt condolences to Marina, and his family and friends. Marina, you are not alone, if you need anything your neighbours are here for you.
