Colin was a truly wonderful colleague and he is very sorely missed at Diabetes UK. I had the honour of working with him throughout the two years he was at the charity. During that time he showed himself to be a relentlessly kind, funny, emphathetic person who never took the things that don’t matter too seriously. He was a brilliant person to talk to, and also to seek support from, no matter what kind of support was needed. He expertly balanced a careful listening ear with a brilliant sense of humour. I really miss having him on the other end of the phone. It has been such a shock and huge sadness to receive this terrible news and I send my greatest condolences to his family and friends.
