My life was greatly enhanced when Barbara came into my life through the wonders of an ancestry site on the internet. She was warm, caring, loving and a joy to know. We shared hours over FaceTime with many laughs–seeing the beauty of her artwork, talking about old movies and much more. The ten days I spent with her and Jimmy hold a special place in my heart–her acting as tour guide to some of the London sites but especially enjoying a ‘cuppa’ at an outdoor table in Marlowe on a beautiful sunny November day–marred only when in order to get the ‘perfect’ photo of a church, she fearlessly climbed onto a bridge buttress with my arms wrapped around her legs pleading with her to come down as visions of her falling into the Thames filled my head. With her artistic eye, she saw the perfect photo–the church beautifully framed by the bridge. That photo takes pride of place on my wall. Barbara will be very much missed by all whose lives she touched.
