I met Eilís over 30 years ago when we were both undergraduate students at Coleraine.  Since then, our friendship has been a constant source of support to me both personally and professionally.   Our children are similar ages and Eilís was always my first port of call for advice and support on child rearing emergencies (and there were many!) and on trying to juggle work and family life.  Eilís taught me to live in the moment and to always make time for family and friends.  I remember my dear friend fondly and deeply miss her warmth and personality.   I also miss her unique talent for seeing the good in everything and everybody.  Kader, Roisin, Yasmin and Ciaran, you have my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of such a huge presence in your lives.
