Anne Booth-Clibborn

Anne came round to our house next door, not long after we’d moved in and introduced herself to us as Anne BC – we quickly became friends and knew her as Anne BC ever since that first knock on the door! Anne was a wonderful neighbour and friend and we will miss her very much.  We loved our chats with Anne and hearing all about her long and interesting life.  She told us about her childhood and younger years in Roslin, Edinburgh and St Andrews, her experiences in the war, all about her life in Kenya, her family, the language she learned and the people she met.  She also invited us to plant tatties in her vegetable beds and we were very happy to share our crops with her! I loved our impromptu catch up chats when she was enjoying the sun in her front porch and you were always sure to find yourself in an interesting conversation, even if only for a few minutes! We loved her company and only wished we’d known her for longer.  We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour and friend.  Sending lots of love to the whole family.

Best wishes
