John was a wonderful Chairman of the Airport Consultative Committee having taken on the responsibility in 2014 after 9 years as Deputy Chairman.  His experience as both a successful solicitor and very experienced private pilot meant that he understood all the issues that arise around an active commercial airport, and was a good listener to all sides of the argument. 

John could understand residents concerns about aircraft being off track, too noisy or too low, and be sympathetic with the pilot as well.  

John was held in high regard by all who knew him and I will be pleased to commemorate his important contribution to the re-development of London Biggin Hill Airport and to make a donation to his proposed charities.
