Clive was my friend and a mentor, he had my back.  He was also a cantankerous old Git and a wind up merchant. I will miss him greatly. He had so much experience and he was not slow in putting his opionion across. I will miss our chats and his guidance.  Clive’s presence and loss will be felt for a long while to come. My best memory is when he told me that he stood up to one of the big bosses saying he was not going to do anything library related without my say so. It was nice to feel valued by him. So it is with a very sad heart I say goodbye and wish his family well, he did speak of you often
