Jenny Theodule

Dear Jenny, I can remember so vividly the first time we met – you were on AMHP Duty and about to sit your re-warranting panel and I was in my first week as Lead Social Worker and we walked to the panel together. It was clear that your passion and enthusiasm for social work shone through and all with a bright smile and an infectious laugh. My experience of you that first day match my resounding thoughts of you throughout our time working together – you spoke so passionately about social work, AMHP and BIA work, about MARAC, safeguarding and about being a social worker. We had lots of talks about social work, the law and the guiding principles behind the work that we do and, although at times we might disagree, central to our discussions would be strong social work values. You spoke excitedly about your holiday in Aruba and your jet-skiing experience there. In our most recent phone call we spoke about happier times when we would again travel with our families and loved ones and we spoke about how “jetskiing in Aruba” was definitely better than working in a global pandemic. I feel so very sad and shocked that you are gone and my thoughts are with all who knew and loved you, your family, friends and your work family too. Safe travels Jenny. Big love. Alex.
