Velupillai Thedchanamoorthy

Mr. Velupillai Thedchanamoorthy, of Mays Hill, NSW, Australia, died on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Westmead Public Hospital. He was 83. He was born on November 10, 1938 in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He attended Jaffna Hindu College. In 1967 he married Thavamany, and together they had 2 children, Gnanakumar and Kalaivani. Thedchanamoorthy worked as a Land Officer  at the Land Commisioner’s Department, Government of Sri Lanka. A unique soul, Thedchanamoorthy, enjoyed writing stories for radio-dramas and short stories for newspapers under the name “Mehavarnan”. He will be greatly missed.
